The Bob Herbert piece in the NYT about the Obama Administration is right on the button and in every respect: About Washington itself, about Obama and about the Republicans. Herbert is the only – repeat, only – writer at the NYT that deserves public attention. He’s honest and authentic. How he manages to endure the presence of maggots like Thomas Friedman in the same offices, one can only speculate.
