Here’s a list of the countries with the highest government debt to GDP in the world:

- St. Kitts and Nevis: 192 %
- Greece: 152 %
- Jamaica: 137 %
- Eritrea: 135 %
- Lebanon: 134 %
- Italy: 121 %
- Barbados: 114 %
- Ireland: 114 %
- Grenada: 111 %

Where does China (including Hong Kong) rank? I think its net external debt is near 30% to 40% range. It is probably not high on the list but my point is – it is a debtor nation not a creditor nation.
