Apple’s new iPhone is "one of the most beautiful things we’ve ever made"

iPhone? Try eye candy!

“This is beyond a doubt the most precise thing, one of the most beautiful things we’ve ever made.”

-Steve Jobs at Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference

The new iPhone comes in 16GB and 32GB capacities.  We’ll have to wait until the rumoured 64GB version actually comes to market. The 16-gig iPhone 4 runs $199, while the 32-gig costs $299.  Here are a few cool specs:

  • The iPhone 4 contains retina display technology that allows Apple to pack 4 times as many pixels into the same space as conventional phones.
  • The new iPhone 4 will include FaceTime — a.k.a video calling. Just tap on the FaceTime button to initiate a video call. Very cool.
  • Now you get Netflix streaming on the iPhone too.  This could be a killer app!
  • iMovie, previously a desktop only video-editing application, comes to the iPhone too.

Here’s a video of the new features. Pre-orders begin June 15th and the phone hits the shelves on the 24th. Get ready for another round of iPhone mania.

Yes, I think the stock price is rich, but you have to love Jobs’ consumer product vision. This is a great phone. Just think how many more Steve Jobs will sell when he finally ditches AT&T exclusivity.
